I renamed a file and I can't open it now as I'm getting an error. Can you help?

I re-named a song file in my Android app and now that i have done that it will not open.  Keep getting an error message.  How do i keep the nae change and still listen to the song, ?  I need have many versions and need them toe named differently for identification

Hi @JordanHags, thanks for posting on the Community!

Could you clarify the error message you’re getting? If the file can’t open any more, you might have removed the file extension to the song, which means the Dropbox Android app doesn’t know how to preview it.

Assuming it’s a normal MP3 file, try adding .mp3 to the filename to see if this helps, or if you know it, the correct file extension.
