Link work even if you move folders?

New member | Level 2

Hi,

If I sent a client a direct link to a folder and if I move that folder, will that folder keep the same link even if I move it around?

Dropboxer

Hi @HelpMyDragon - welcome to our Community!

Moving or renaming a file will not affect the shared link that you generated. This means that anyone who has access to the shared link will still be able to access the file/folder if you move it to a different location in your Dropbox folder or even if you rename the file/folder at hand.

I hope that helps answer your question and if there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know!
