Need to remove access to shared folder

Our firm recently gave Dropbox access to one of our clients. This client has put many large files in his folder and has caused us to run out of storage. This is affecting my ability to share information with other clients. 

Is there a way that I can remove my access to the client's folder (the one with the large files) without affecting his access?

I right clicked on his folder, then clicked on Give Access, then Remove Access. At that point, I was given two options: Stop Sharing or Change Sharing Permission. I was hesitant to proceed. 

Any advice on how I can handle this?

From what I understand, you’re referring to a shared folder in your Dropbox account, is that right?
 
There are two ways to remove a shared folder from your Dropbox account:
  • Temporarily delete the folder (with the option to add it back later).
  • Permanently remove your access to the folder.
