New iPhone - Dropbox app re-uploading all photos

Explorer | Level 3

Changed from an iPhone 6 to a new iPhone 7 running the latest iOS version.  Prior to the switch we made sure that all photos were uploaded to Dropbox.  After the switch, the Dropbox app wants to re-upload all the photos.  I cannot find any way to fix this.

To the Dropbox app on your phone, they're new photos. There's no way to stop it from uploading photos without removing them from the phone.

Either remove the photos from your phone, or allow Dropbox to upload them and then delete the duplicates on the Dropbox website.

That's what I was afraid of.  Thanks.
