Protecting Folders Against Accidental Deletion

New member | Level 2

I recently restored a folder and its contents of a few hundred files that apparently was accidentally deleted by one of our handful of DropBox Basic users.

Is there a way I can password protect or otherwise install some safeguard against myself or another user accidentally deleting a folder?  All users need equal access and read/write capabilities.

Re: Protecting Folders Against Accidental Deletion

Hey @dfcashjr, currently, there isn’t an option to disable the ability to delete content from a shared folder that someone is the owner of or has edit permissions.
Nonetheless, I’d be more than happy to pass your comments along to the dev team for future consideration.
If you have any other thoughts or ideas you’d like to share, please don’t hesitate to get back to me and, in the meantime, have a wonderful day ahead! grinning face with smiling eyes
