Supporting Word .DOTX files

Explorer | Level 3

Hi, It should be great if you could support .DOTX files (Word Template file). As I work with several members I have to "cope" with lay-out mallfunctions when everyone use the "dummy report" as a base. At the end the structure is gone. The support of a template would be a great help. Thanks so far Ron

Hello @ron49

Thank you for bringing this need to our attention.

I appreciate your time writing about .dotx files

I understand these files cannot be opened online to edit with Office Online or our open with button however, they should be syncing locally. Please let me know if you are using the Dropbox desktop application and how your current experience is with editing these files locally.

Thank you for your feedback!
