Tagging/Photo Organization

Hi there,

I've read in many posts that unfortuantely Dropbox does not have tagging capabilities. Does anyone have any suggestions for the next best thing? How best to organize and locate photos when you have thousands saved?

Thanks

When you TAG via your desktop app will you lose that tagging if you change to another computer and reinstall the app on the new computer or will the tagging follow?

Our company has tons and tons of photos and the lack of tagging functionally makes the only way to really organize them to copy them and keep them in multiple places which takes a lot of space and gets confusing.  I really wish Dropbox would just partner with someone that does photo organization.

You are actually using the tagging function in Windows. You just use the Dropbox deskto utility to access your Dropbox files. Whatever tags you add get written to the photos so the tags will remain no matter which computer or operaing system you use or change to.

Hi everyone, the ability to tag files is now available on the Dropbox site.

This article provides the steps on how to add, remove and search for tags on your account.

Hope this helps!
