The Dropbox icon appears faded as it can't connect to servers, what can I do?

Level 2

If the Dropbox app on your computer can't connect to Dropbox servers, the icon is faded.


I have this case , the dropbox light is off .

Hey there @khalid9999,
Please can you click on the Dropbox icon and let me know what you see there, such as error messages? If you wouldn’t mind sharing a screenshot, this would also be appreciated.
Should be the app be stuck at “connecting” or "Cannot establish a secure connection”, can you please check that the app is whitelisted or removed from the blacklist on any antivirus, firewall or security program that may be running on your device. Also please check your proxy settings, if your’re not connecting through a proxy server then please select “No proxy”.
