Getting an error when attempting to use Rewind (at any folder level):

There was an internal Dropbox error, but we can still help you use Rewind. Contact Support.

I've been hit by the "Maze" Ransomware and was hoping I could use Dropbox to go back to before the infection.

I ended up doing a folder-by-folder rewind, as opposed to at the root level, and that did the trick. I was using Chrome by the way.

Hi @FridgeKitty - welcome to our Community and happy Monday!

I'm sorry to hear you were hit by a ransomware and that you're facing issues with our Rewind feature.

Can you please let me know if you get the same error on other browsers

In case you do, would you like me to reach out to the email address that's connected with your Community's profile so I can then forward your request to our Restorations team?

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there.

I'm having the same issue on Windows 10, with both Firefox and Chrome.

What browser is supposed to be used? There is no clear indication in this thread or at the prompt for using Rewind. It is not working for me on 2 different browsers.
Need more support?
