Webpage/folder not refresh

Helpful | Level 5

I use www.Dropbox.com alot. Why does the current webpage/folder not always refresh after files were added, removed. changed, etc? I need to press Back and Forward on Chrome to see the updated webpage/folder.

Hey there (@sunjomar), that’s not how it should work as changes on our website should be reflected instantly on your end. Does that happen across browsers for you? I’m wondering if you’ve missed a browser update, as www.dropbox.com works best on the two most recent versions of Chrome

Also, does this persist through an incognito/private browsing window? Can you try loading your account online once without any extensions running & see if that amends the behavior? As an additional step, would you mind clearing your browser's cache & see if this does the trick for you this time?

It would be worth noting that when you perform a specific action online, you should get a small message on the top of your screen informing you of the progress. Do you see that incidentally?

Once you get a chance to have a look at my pointers, please do let me know of your findings & I’ll do my best to check back with you on this discussion. Thanks for taking a bit of your time to gather this info for me & I’ll be awaiting your next update here. Wishing you a fruitful 2019 & a wonderful weekend ahead!

Excellent. The problem is obviously the fact that I use an older Google Chrome (the latest available) on a Windows'XP Prof operating system. I did notice that www.Dropbox.com is now also showing a message confirming the same. Thanks for your excellent support.
