I'm trying to preview word documents on the Dropbox website. I'm finding that, if the document page is zoomed taller than the screen, every time I move the mouse, the display jumps to the top of the page. This is without any buttons pressed. So, I can scroll down through a page with the wheel but the instant I move the cursor, the view jumps back up again.
Does anyone else see this?
I am using Windows 10 and Edge.
Hello there @Peter H.87,
Just to clarify, are you using the zoom option from the black bar seen on the bottom of the page when you're previewing the file, or is the web page itself zoomed in?
I wasn't able to replicate the issue on my end, so could you please try the following to see if the issue is due to the browser:
Let me know what you find - thanks!
I'm not doing any zooming, just leaving it at whatever size it appears at.
It seems to (only?) occur when I've 'snapped' the browser window into the side of the screen. (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027324/windows-10-snap-your-windows)
I have made a video but it's not very useful, basically I am trying to scroll down with the mouse but every time it jumps to the top of the page, that's not me doing it.
Re: zooming - sorry my original post wasn't clear, what I meant was that if I do zoom the page, using the '-' symbol on the dark bar, so the whole height is smaller than the screen, then the problem doesn't happen.
Thanks for the recording @Peter H.87, the visual is super helpful!
Can you let me know if you also see that persisting if you try the steps I mentioned above? For example, if the behaviour doesn't occur in an incognito window on Microsoft Edge then it suggests that a browser extension could be responsible for what you see.
It will help us to narrow down what is causing the issue and potentially even resolve it.
Keep me posted - thanks!
