Hey there @md2646 - how are you today? 

Do you get a specific error when trying to access them? Do all these files have the same extension? 

If your files were indeed encrypted by a ransomware I'd suggest you first took a look here:

If there's anything else I can help with from my end, please let me know. 

PS: I also wonder, if your desktop app states "Up to date" and/or if you have enabled hidden files to show on your computer by any chance.
