Why is a password needed to access a shared link?

Why is a password needed to access a shared link?

I sent a link for my dropbox to someone and they require a password or code in order to print - 1. How would I know what the pass code is? 2. How can they print without the pass code?

Thanks,

Hi @Darrow, thanks for posting on the Community!

If the person needs to login to view the file, then you most likely have shared a file or folder to their email directly, so they need a Dropbox account of their own to view the files.

Instead, you could create a shared link to the file so that they can view the file and print it.

Let me know how it goes!
