Hi @Moishe - welcome to our Community!

I'm sorry to hear you got an error upon trying to preview a PDF file of yours.

Now, just to make sure we're troubleshooting the right thing here, could you provide some additional information so I can advise further?

  • Are you doing this on a computer or a mobile device?
  • Is this happening for all of your PDF files, some or only this specific one? If tha latter, how large is the file in question? (pro hint: .pdf files will preview on our website normally as long as below the 500 MB limit)
  • Do you get the same results on other browsers or after clearing your browser's cache (assuming you're on the website)?

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there!

files are to be downloaded onto my computer.

Only four of a about twenty files could not be downloaded.

Each of these four is way under 500MB.

I have not done this on another browser.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with previewing your PDF files @Percival!

If you're still having issues with this, could you try another browser and let me know the results?

If you get an error again along the way, please forward me a screenshot so I can have a visual too.

Thanks!

it was a issue on my end, our organization use strict filtering rules on sites we can access, causing this problem, once that matter was reported to the IT, they right away adjusted settings, and issue was fixed

I've had a Dropbox account for a long time. Today when I go to it and try to open .pdf files stored there I get this error message: ".pdf files are supported, but something went wrong."

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening.

Thanks - David

Hey @Tecumseh, welcome to our Community!

Does this happen to a specific browser? Can you also try an incognito mode on your current browser, or a totally different one just to see how it behaves?

If you notice the same message, feel free to send me a screenshot, so I can have visual too.

Thanks a lot!
