private file sharing around others already invited

New member | Level 2

So, my boss has invited a few others to dropbox, and now she wants to know if there is a way to keep some files in the future private; say between her assistant or a file meant for a client, as opposed to everyone having access to view or edit every file

Re: private file sharing around others already invited

Hey there @hmmt
In this case, they can create a shared folder and invite the user that needs access to it.
I’d also recommend having a look at this article regarding team folders which explains the difference between them and shared folders. If by chance you have access to the new team folder structure though, where you see a purple folder icon with one person on it on the website, check out this article, instead.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll make sure to get back to you as soon as possible. Cheers!
