re-linking my computer

Explorer | Level 3

When I relink my laptop will the syncing be from the cloud to my computer or will my computer change the cloud. I want what has been synced from other computers to change my desktop.

Re: re-linking my computer

Hey there @Mpcc,
If you previously had the desktop app on your computer and still have the old Dropbox folder, you’ll need to rename the old Dropbox folder to something else (eg. Old Dropbox folder) before relinking your account.
Otherwise, if you don’t want to keep the copy of the files you have currently on that computer, you can simply delete the old Dropbox folder.
This will ensure that Dropbox syncs the files that are currently within your account to a new Dropbox folder, syncing what is currently on your other devices.
Hope this helps - Thanks!
