unable to change documents in dropbox

When I had the free dropbox everythging was simple and worked fine. Ever since I upgraded I am very confused about what the symbols mean and what is happening with the account. I cannot change any of the documents on one of my desktops that have been put there from one of my other computers. I should be able to change all my documents from both computers.

Hey @shelley3, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles after upgrading!

I'd be more than happy to help get to the bottom of this together, but I do have a few questions to narrow it down a bit.

When you mentioned that you can't "change" your documents, are you unable to open or edit your files? If you get any errors, please send a screenshot of of these.

What I suspect might be happening is that the files made on other computers are syncing to your computer as "online only" instead of "local" with the Smart Sync feature.

When you look at the files within the Dropbox folder, do they show the green tick (local) or a grey cloud icon (online only) next to them?

Let me know what you find and we'll go from there!
