Re: Adding Dropbox to my Finder Sidebar of my Mac

A quick reinstall will usually fix most issues.

If the Dropbox folder isn't visible in the Finder sidebar, it can be returned just by dragging it there.

Re: Adding Dropbox to my Finder Sidebar of my Mac

There is a question in this? winking face If you want to have a DB folder at your sidebar, then search for the DB folder, then just drag the folder into your sidebar. When dragging into the sidebar you will see a line coming up to show you where the folder will be between inserted. If you drag it over a folder then it will go into that folder.

Hi,

I am trying to drag, but is not working. I've tried everything! Maybe there is a bug, can someone help fixing it? How should I proceed?

Thank you

Re: Adding Dropbox to my Finder Sidebar of my Mac

Thank you Robert for your help.

As I told before, I have tried everything : Reinstall , drag and youtube tutorials.

The finder sidebar does not accept de dropbox icon. I can drag the icon but no line appears.

I don't know how to fixed it.

=(

Re: Adding Dropbox to my Finder Sidebar of my Mac

I am having the same problem. Nothing works to get that icon in the finder sidebar. I don't know if this is a dropbox issue or an apple issue.  Help!  (Thanks)

Re: Adding Dropbox to my Finder Sidebar of my Mac

I found the solution thanks to Robert S (on another message).  I was trying to move it from the wrong source. Try this:

The Dropbox folder is a real literal folder on your computer. On a Mac, the default location is Macintosh HD > Users > "your user account" > Dropbox and it's easily added to the Finder sidebar as previously described.

Thanks Kathy and Robert!  That worked perfectly!  ie:

Re: Adding Dropbox to my Finder Sidebar of my Mac

Thanks to all for helping provide a solution to this problem. I just upgraded to El Capitan and I'm having to fix everything to the way I had it before. That doesn't really seem like an upgrade to me.  I'm so thankful for finding this solution.

Thank you so much for the answer!  This has been really bugging me but thanks to this page it is now working as before!  Hate when upgrades mess with your settings!!  Thanks again everyone
