I uploaded several saved PST files into a folder.
I want to off-load [download] these (entire folder) to an archive location, but the Download function is not available when I select the folder.
So I tried selecting just one of the PST files and the download was still not available.
Next step -- rename the file (.pst1) and the download function IS available for that.
What gives with PST files and the download function? why does DropBox care about the extension -- a file is a file.
thanx
Hey, I found this post from a while back https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Syncing-and-uploads/Best-Practice-for-Syncing-PST-File/td-p/72795
Is the file actively open somewhere? Maybe it is corrupted :/
I saw this article too, but it isn't my situation:
These PST files are not active (synced or even being used for years).
When I rename the file (.pst1) download it and rename back to .pst, the file will open in Outlook, so they aren't corrupted.
It's the only file-extension I've ever had issues with; and I have files from very obscure software-applications, even executables.
GOT IT!
My co-worker has my entire email-folder synced to his PC ... not just the files I wanted him to access.
