The dropbox menu bar app has stopped showing the time left in the current sync in the bottom of the window. It shows a seemingly irrelevant progress bar but even hovering over that does not tell me the time left to sync, which I have depended on to let clients know when files will be there. Hovering over only gives me the option to pause syncing. Was this feature removed or is this a bug in the latest update?
I'm on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6
Oh okay I didn't know that bs existed. Well, that undoubtebly sucks to have to pay an additionnal 10$ montly ransom to read an information they just decided to hide. I'll start looking at alternatives I guess. Thanks for the answers 👍
Hmm. At a minimum, you'd think they would have told us on this forum that we could get that capability by changing to Professional. But it's really shabby of them to remove the capability from the other versions.
Im business and personal user holding two accouts, both of them dont have time function now, so is no depends are you free user or paid user. Upset 😞
For the last few months I have not been able to see how much upload to Dropbox has been done. All that my status bar shows is what the upload speed is.
Same here, I relied on that little counter!
I was searching on how to get the time remaining info back as well - as a paying subscriber, I feel this is a simple request and feature to have. Especially since it is one that was available previously. Making us upgrade to get the feature back is extremely bad customer service. I am reconsidering my subscription to Dropbox.

Hey all who are willing to switch cloud services to get this feature back (plus other good stuff like more space), I switched over to Sync, which gives 2 TB plus various mobile apps etc. for about the same price (billed annually). Dropbox is being super-pushy with this whole incentivizing upgrades by removing features. Gross.
I've just installed the free version of Sync. So far so good - and wow, it gives me an estimate of how long my file will take to upload! What an amazing concept! I'll try it out today and if all is well, goodbye Dropbox. Thanks for the years and years of memories and me being a great customer. Sorry you had to stab me in the back.
Add me to the list of people who desperately want the "estimated time remaining" function back. Not having a rough sense of when an upload will be done is driving me crazy.
