Changing orientation changes which file is open

New member | Level 2

Hi,

When viewing a .pdf within Dropbox on iOS, if I tilt my iPad so it changes orientation from portrait to landscape, it will open a different document.

Is this a known issue?  I have the latest version of Dropbox updated March 13, 2019.

Thanks!

Hey there @mfalk, funny thing what you mention; could you let me know if you're running the latest version of your iPad's OS as well as our mobile app's indeed (134.2.2)?

Can you try clearing your cache to see if this helps?

Could you please try to clear the cache on your app and then sign out and back into your Dropbox account? To clear your cache, please follow the steps listed below:
1. Navigate to the “Personal” tab
2. Tap the gear icon in the upper-left corner of the screen
3. Select “Clear Cache”

Once this is done then please ensure you log out of the Dropbox application, then restart your device and log back in again.

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.  Clearing the cache and signing out/in did fix the problem, and thank you for that.

I am running the latest version of the app, but only iOS 12.0.1.  Upgrades to the OS are managed by IT staff so it is not upgraded beyond that.

Thank you!
