Delivery and download confirmation

I use Recorder HQ and it sends my audio to Dropbox.  Yet, I never get confirmation of delivery nor downloads by the recipient.  Why?

If you are using a third party piece of software thats something you need to ask them (i.e. Recorder HQ). However, Dropbox itself does not give confirmation that a file has been viewed or downloaded by a recipient.
