Doing advanced reinstall with both personal and business dropbox folders?

Explorer | Level 4

My dropbox desktop app is not connecting, even after standard reinstall and restart. I'd like to try an advanced reinstall as described here. However, I have both "Dropbox (Personal)" and "Dropbox (Business)" folders in the default location on my computer for my two dropbox accounts. I'm wondering if the terminal commands need to be changed to account for this. Thanks for your help.

Hi there, you’re right in that it would be slightly different.

For your personal folder it would be as follows:

sudo chown -R "$USER" "/Users/Jay/Dropbox (Personal)"
sudo chmod -R u+rw "/Users/Jay/Dropbox (Personal)"

And for the Business account it would be:

sudo chown -R "$USER" "/Users/Jay/Dropbox (MyTeamName)"
sudo chmod -R u+rw "/Users/Jay/Dropbox (MyTeamName)"

Make sure to amend the folders as they appear on your machine (and MyTeamName to your own team name).

The rest of the lines would remain as is.

Hope this helps!
