I still have this problem. Thats why I pressed the button "still stuck ?". Then a new thread emerged in which my post appeared.

My post in this new thread has now been moved this thread, therefore seeming "solved".

Hey @Dirk512, thanks for checking in with us on the Community!

As a first step, could you let me know if you've tried rebooting your computer or given a simple re-install of the desktop app's latest stable version (83.4.152) a try? 

Also, @tutu, could you please clarify what's happening on your end? Are you seeing any error messages when you try to start the desktop app? 

Any screenshots (without personal info) would be very helpful.

Hi again, I removed the old desktop app and installed the latest - the pop-up telling me that I can't login appeared only once since then.  The app tries to login but still can't. 

I can access my dropbox on the web and this is what I'm gonna use now.

If you can figure out anything else please do let me know.

Thanks, dear. I looked at the thread you referred to.  My user director had the 'locked' box unticked so this couldn't have been my problem.

I am still getting the failure pop-up message and am reattaching it along with the information that displays when clicking at the link in the pop-up.

If you're also getting an error message, could you send me a screenshot (without personal details included)? 

If you're seeing a blue link outlined in the error message (like the image attached above), can you click on it and send me the log?
