How Do I STOP Screenshots Being Saved Dropbox? Any help?

New member | Level 2

HI there, I have been reading for over an hour how to stop screenshots from being saved to Dropbox, from the gear icon on my desktop app that is not there when opening the program, to settings and preferences by right clicking then going to an import tab, that also does not exist when I actually found the folder itself, nothing at all online or here in the answers I"ve read tell  me how to stop the screenshots -

My Stats / Situation:

1. I am running Windows 10 home computer

2. Have the actualy program loaded on my desktop computer -

3. I am not trying to change the preferences from The Dropbox website either!! Still they are all getting saved to Dropbox -

**Again - no Gear Icon on my desktop app - n "Input" option in actual Screenshots folder once I found it either !!! Please help what must I be doing wrong???

Eveything I see online or read, says gear icon, or right click on folder and change preferences by  going to some "input" tab or folder that I also do not have.....

thank you sooooooo much to anyone who takes the time out of their busy days to write me back!

Can't beleive there's not  simple freaking phone # to call these people and actually speak to a live human being!!!

Click the Dropbox icon in your system tray. When the app opens, you'll see your avatar or initials in the upper-right corner of the app. Click it and select Preferences from the menu that appears.

Alternatively, you can CTRL-click the Dropbox icon in your system try to get the legacy menu and select Preferences from there.

Once in Preferences, go to the Import tab and you'll see the option for saving screenshots to Dropbox.

Hey there @OrlandoMeshell, I hope you're doing well today!

Where the gear icon used to be, there is now a profile pic/initials icon instead in the top right corner of the window once you click the Dropbox icon in your system tray.

From there, you can choose "Preferences...", then the "Import" tab from the top of the window. You should see the option for saving screenshots to Dropbox there.

Also, I'm afraid we currently only offer phone support for our Business users. You can find out some more info on what support is available to you from here.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions!
