How to install dropbox NOT in home dir in compute cluster

New member | Level 2

I need to install dropbox on a compute cluster but it seems to want to default to ~/ dir.

How can I install it to /some/other/disk?

Re: How to install dropbox NOT in home dir in compute cluster

Hey @alexfri, I’m wondering if you’ve tried following the steps outlined here to move the Dropbox folder under a different directory. That said, kindly note that the initial installation will default to your home directory, however you should be moving the Dropbox folder’s contents by moving the folder as relayed in the resource I linked above.
Please have a look at my suggestions at your earliest convenience & let me know how you get on with my advice or if I’ve misunderstood your question in any way on our discussion here. Thanks in advance Alex!
