I have a question about the Dropbox Folder in my C drive. Any ideas?

New member | Level 2

I removed my dropbox app from my computer after I got ransomeware attack. I had the dropbox roll back my account to previous date as was recommended. Today I found that there is a dropbox folder in my hard drive. Was that not removed when I removed my app? If I remove this folder will I lose my data in my dropbox?

Hi @sunil_sakhalkar

No that isnt removed when you remove Dropbox's program (more so that data is not deleted by accident!)

As long as Dropbox is not connected to your account (i.e. the app isnt installed!) you are free to delete that folder slightly smiling face
