I'm having a similar issue with my dropbox which is giving me an "error 2" prompt. I've done everything in @Jane's solution to the issue, and it has not worked. I've submitted a ticket (#9408731) with the dropbox support team who initially sent me the same solution, and then when I communicated to them that it didn't work, they referred me to another technical support member who has yet to get back to me. I've attached my error log files to that email thread. Is it possible someone could assist me a little faster than this? I really need the app for work.

  • same error2
  • same winffi import error
  • also followed all the steps but not work out
  • also submit log file via email 
  • any possibility to get quick response

Hey @baqi, I can see that my colleagues have already created a ticket for you via our Official Support channel & your open Support request has already reached our specialists’ inbox. So as to have all relevant details on the same email chain, I’ve made sure to include a copy of your comments there & I’ve increased your support priority internally. 
 
Since our specialized technicians have got more advanced tools at their disposal, they could best address your inquiry on that email chain. Please include all relevant details there & rest assured that they’ll do their best to follow-up on the matter.

If you’re receiving an error message when trying to install the app, can you please send a screenshot of this? Also, please let me know which device you're having an issue installing the app on eg. mobile or a computer.
 
If it's the desktop app, there should be a blue hyperlink in the error message which if you click on will open up an error log. Please can you include the full error log in your reply?
 
Any extra info you could provide would be much appreciated!

I have done EVERYTING and I mean EVERYTHING (advanced reinstall), CCleaner, restart, new windows user, turn of antivirus, turn of firewall, install in windows safe mode etc etc etc etc etc).

Still "Error 2" when installing.

Where can I find an old version of Dropbox to download and install?
