JPG files will not open in download Dropbox application

JPG files will not open in my download Dropbox application, but they open when I go to my Dropbox web site.  My O/S Windows 7 Pro SP1.  Your suggestions will be apprecizated. thanks.

Sorry to hear about this @BobS - let's have a look into this.

First of all, have you rebooted your computer at all after seeing this? Is your desktop app showing "Up to date" or still syncing changes? 

Does this happen for all of your files or only some? Are you getting any errors? If so, could you provide me with a screenshot so that I can have a visual too?
