Logout after each Dropbox update Windows 10

Why I am logged out after each Dropbox update? I need to relogin after each update and to re-sync all my files, as I have in my dropbox a lot of files it takes long time to do it.

Hello @SKarolis. You definitely should not have to log in each time the Dropbox app updates. dizzy face

Thanks for reporting this experience in our Community. I will help you with this. 

First I want to make sure we are on the same page with the issue. So allow me to ask, when you say update, you mean the update to our latest stable version that Dropbox performs automatically?

When did this start happening? 

Have you already tried reinstalling the Dropbox desktop application?

Hey, Fiona.

Yes, you are correct. When automatically updating to latest stable Dropbox version I get logged out. It started around a half year ago, I do not remember the exact time.

Yes, I tried to reinstall Dropbox, but it did not help.

That's a long time. Hear No Evil I appreciate your patience @SKarolis

Please try an Advanced reinstall. This process deleted all the ap data that could be causing this issue and help you start fresh.

@Fiona I've done advanced reinstall. Now just need to wait for new stable release to verify if it did help. slightly smiling face

I hope it doesn't and the advanced reinstall fixed it.

Latest stable version out, up to today, is 86.4.146.

Keep me posted if it logs you out again!
