My desktop app is stuck on syncing constantly

I've been using dropbox for a while and everything seems to be working no problem. However recently my dropbox desktop app (windows) is have been non-stop syncing and eats up the CPU resources. I consider myself a power user and changing the dropbox settings (selective sync etc.) does not fix the problem. I tried installing the latest version too. What do I do now?

Hello @jeffjeffwong. Thanks for reaching out. 

I understand your files started syncing again, you updated to our latest version and reinstalled. After reinstalling, all your files will need to re-index and you will have syncing. Is your syncing status stuck on a specific number of files though? 

How many files do you have in total? 

What is the Operating system version of your device? 

Please read this article explaining all about the CPU usage issue you are describing.
