Saving Space on my Mac by Unlinking dropbox

New member | Level 2

I have unlinked Dropbox from my Mac but all the folders are still showing and taking up space on my computer.

What do I need to do to ensure that all the files are available to me online  but not on my computer unless I download them?

Thanks for reaching out to us here @GeoMcG!

Since you've already unlinked your Dropbox account from the desktop app, I can suggest also uninstalling the app to be on the safe side.

With no link to your account, you can safely just delete the Dropbox folder on your computer without it affecting your account online.

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes!
