Setting up Smart Sync - not working

I am trying since a couple of days to set up smart sync.

 

it must be very smart, smarter than me at least.

I have downloaded the lates dropbox program about 10 times and have waited two days for an email that should arrive in about an hour.

But nothing is happening. So what is this all about?

As a first step, could you please let me know if you’re able to follow the steps below to enable Smart Sync?
  • Click on the Dropbox icon that’s next to your computer’s clock. 
  • Select the gear icon. 
  • Go to Preferences… 
  • Navigate to the General tab where there will be an option to opt-in to Smart Sync. 
If you’re not able to see it, could you please send me a screenshot (without any personal info) of what you see instead, as well as what your Dropbox icon reads when you click on it?
