Microsoft icons missing on Sync History & Activity dropdown screen...

Dear Sir,

I'm unable to get Dropbox to show the Microsoft Word icons whereas the Excels ones are showing.

I've tried ticking and unticking in the System Preferences > Extensions app and rebooting my iMac but nothing.

The Dropbox info is 175.4.5569 and Up to date.

Best regards, Steve

Hey @harlings, thanks for reaching out to our Community!

Are you only seeing this behavior on the Activity tab on the Dropbox icon?

How about the Dropbox folder?

And if you close the Dropbox app, do you still see the same thing?

Keep me posted.

Hi Hannah,

Sorry for not replying earlier, only I didn't realise that you'd responded.

I only see this issue in the Activity and Sync History dropdown boxes.

The files in the Dropbox folder look fine.

I tried quitting, signing out and playing around with the Dropbox extensions in System Preferences.. nothing worked.

Hi @harlings, do any of the files have passwords on them?

Is there a specific reason why you want the Word icon to appear instead of a preview of the doc itself?

Hi Jay,

There are no passwords on any of my documents.

The only reason that I want the icon to be shown is that it's easier to spot and that Excel docs have them so why not Word docs?

I've spotted this on my investigations..

Why are there 2 Dropbox's in my notifications and should Dropbox have full disk access?

Is there anyone out there that could answer my last question?

Dear All,

As you can see from my screenshots I don't see all Microsoft icons in the Dropbox Sync and Activity screens.

After further investigation I see 2 Dropbox Apps in Notifications and Full Disk Access is denied.. is this normal?

Could you try enabling full disk access for the Dropbox desktop application in the Mac OS settings, and then fully reboot the machine to see if this helps?
