Viewing files with Adobe Bridge

Viewing files with Adobe Bridge

Hello,

Is it possible to preview dropbox files in Adobe Bridge if those files are not backed up on your computer?

My dropbox is too large to be copied on my computer. However, being a graphic designer I use Adobe Bridge all the time to spot my files.

Thank you for your help.

Hi @misstheo, if you don't want to use our app, you'd then need to download individual files from the web, locally to the device in order for you to be able to preview them and use them on Adobe.

Keep in mind, that if you then make any changes, you'd need to re-upload them to your Dropbox account.

As for the app, depending on your device, and Dropbox plan you can download the desktop app, and have your files available online-only, so they don't take up hard drive space.  https://help.dropbox.com/sync/make-files-online-only

Welcome to the forum, @misstheo!

Just to make sure I got it right; when saying that you don’t have your Dropbox files backed up on your computer, you mean that you don’t have the desktop app installed, correct?

Do you mind sharing what’s the size of your Dropbox files, more or less?

Keep me posted.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for reaching out.

My dropbox folder is about 270 Go big.

I don't wish to make a copy on my computer otherwise it will slow down my mac.

Does this help?

Hi Megan.

I wish I could store my files only online and be able to view them from Adobe Bridge but I understand this is not possible.

Thanks again for your help.

All the best!

Hello Megan,

One more question.

I'd like to double check my storage on dropbox.

How can I see how much storage is in use?

Thank you

Best

You can find that information on your Plan page.
