We are delighted to announce the launch of Dropbox for Beginners, a brand new group here on the Dropbox Community. Like the name suggests, Dropbox for Beginners is for people who are new to Dropbox and eager to learn. This group is a place where you can feel comfortable asking any question, no matter how basic or simple it may seem. We’ll also be here to provide you with guides, tips and tricks to help you get to grips with Dropbox. 
 
All you need to do to get started is join the group, and here are some tips to help you get involved.

What is the Dropbox for Beginners group?

 
The name is definitely a bit of a give away, but for anyone who’s still a little unsure, the Dropbox for Beginners group is a space for people who are new to Dropbox and keen to learn the basics, find out about different products and features, and discover new ways to work. 
 

What to expect in the Dropbox for Beginners Group

 
We’ll be posting lots of tips and tricks, guides and all sorts of helpful information to get you started with Dropbox, like our guide to downloading the desktop and mobile apps. You’ll also see questions from other Community members who are in the same position as you, so you’ll be able to connect with them and take your first steps with Dropbox together.
 

How to join the Dropbox for Beginners group

 
Joining the Dropbox for Beginners group couldn’t be any easier, all you need to do is follow this link and click on the “Join group” button. That’s it, once you’ve joined you’ll be able to connect with other newcomers, ask questions and discuss all things Dropbox.

Getting involved in the Dropbox for Beginners group

 
Any Community group is only as good as the sum of it’s parts, that’s all of you, so we would be thrilled to see you join and get involved. There are lots of ways for you to participate, ask a specific question or help others with an answer. You could even get started by responding to this post and tell us how you use DropboxTell us about the things you liked while getting started or the things that caused you the most trouble.

Looking forward to a friendly, helpful group!  I will use be using Dropbox to exchange Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans with an environmental consultant to provide engineering certification.

Thanks for the reply and welcome to the Dropbox Community. It's sounds like some really interesting work you're doing and we're delighted to see that Dropbox is potentially helping to make processes that will benefit the environment run more smoothly. Just of curiosity, I'd love to know where you are based and what industry your work is associated with?
