Hey @Don10, kindly note that our website Notifications 🔔 don’t go that far back in time, however I’d happily forward a note of your request to our team specialists. If it’s not too much trouble for you, could you clarify what’s the info you’re looking for, so as to check if there’s a different way to accomplish what you have in mind?

Any detail you could send over would be very helpful & rest assured that I’m here to help as much as possible. Thanks in advance & enjoy the rest of your Friday Don!

Hi Jane

There are a few contacts that I shared information with back in January 2018 I need to show that they got access to a file. I got an email on the 16th jan but I can no longer open the events. Was hoping it would show up there

Hey @Don9, thanks for checking back with me here; following your last comment it looks like you’ve shared a file with a colleague/friend & you’d wish to retrieve the Notification that indicates when they opened it on their end, however please correct me if I’m wrong.

If so, then once you hit Open, the Notification will no longer be available, however if you’re working on an upgraded account, you can trace when they last accessed the file in question if you browse on the Activity tab as you’re looking at the file’s preview

Alternatively, because you’ve mentioned that you can no longer open the Events, could you include a step-by-step description of what you’re seeing on your end & a screenshot if possible (omitting personal info) of the content you’d like to access, in order to send you the most relevant follow-up steps?

Hopefully this addresses your initial inquiry & please do let me know here if you have any additional questions or I’ve misunderstood your query in any way!

It won’t allow me to open events I’m seeing an email from drop book one my gmail but that’s it. They have removed themselves from the members as well. Is there anyway of chatting to anyone that could possibly retrieve the event log from my email address

I appreciate your speedy reply @Don9. I can reach out to you directly if needed (i.e. so as to examine specifics), however I could also further advise you from here. If it’s not too much trouble for you, could you elaborate a bit on the course of events on your end & include a screenshot of the email you’re referring to (without any personal info)?

I’m merely asking for this info, since your description in your last post makes me think that you were invited to a shared folder & the folder Owner may have removed your access. In this case Don only the folder owner could grant you access to the content again. Regardless, I’ll be awaiting your next message, so as to shed some light on your options together. Thanks again!

Thanks for taking the time to send me this screengrab @Don9/@Don10; this has been really helpful! Now, it appears that you had shared a folder with a colleague & you need to provide some proof that they had accessed the files you had added in the share at a certain point in the past. Kindly note that this type of Activity can be traced on upgraded accounts as outlined on the resources linked on my previous post, however your Events page doesn’t currently log this kind of Activity.

From there Donal, let me briefly clarify that the dates for events by default retain up to 6 months in the calendar view. If you would like to see Events (i.e. the file addition shown in the screenshot) outside of the 6 month time frame you will need to have previously added either extended version history or unlimited version history to your account & these features aren’t currently available for purchase.

I understand that my message may not provide you the solution you needed but I hope it brings a bit of clarity. I appreciate the time you devoted in detailing me the specifics on your concern; please let me know if there’s anything I could do for you & I’ll do my best to check back here!
