Switching email sign-in over to a "taken" email address account

Over the years, I'd started 2 accounts - one free and then one paid. The free account has my business email, and I'd like to switch that business email address over to my larger capacity paid acount, which is associated with my persomal email. Should I delete the business email free account (nothing I need there) and will it then let me switch my paid account over to my business email address after a week?
