Problem accessing your account

  1. Reset your password.
    1. If you don't receive the reset email, check the spam folder of your inbox. If it isn’t there, add no-reply@dropbox.com to your address book and then resend the password reset email.

  2. Verify your account email address.
    1. If you’re seeing the “account doesn’t exist” error, you may be using the wrong email address to access your Dropbox account.

  3. Lost access to email.
    1. If you've lost access to the email address on your Dropbox but still remember your password, sign in to your Dropbox account and then change the email address.

Find a charge

If you forgot which Dropbox account or email address is associated with a charge on your credit card:

  1. Use the credit card lookup tool.
  2. If you can't find the charge, contact us.

Cancel a Dropbox account

Dropbox Pro

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com with the account you want to cancel.
  2. Visit the downgrade page.
  3. Select Downgrade
Cancel subscription

Dropbox Business

Team admins: Self-serve canceling is only available within 30 days of initial purchase or 60 days before renewal. If this is true for your account:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Visit the account page.
  3. Click Cancel Dropbox Business
If your account is not within 30 days of initial purchase or 60 days before renewal, contact Dropbox support. Contact info can be found in the Admin Console.

Refund for an account

Dropbox Pro

If you live in a region where we're legally required to issue a refund on early cancellation, you may be eligible for a refund.

Dropbox Business

Dropbox Business subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law.

Set up two-step verification

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Open the account tab.
  3. Under Two-step verification, click Enable.
  4. Enable two-step verification.
  5. Click Get started.

Notes:

  • You can receive your security code by text message or use a mobile app.
  • Once two-step verification is enabled, consider adding a backup phone number that can receive text messages. If you ever lose your primary phone, you can get security codes on your backup phone instead.
