very basic question...

can i just use whatever the smallest free space is as a cloud backup?  i dont want the app on my pc, ill do it manually.  i dont want my folders all marked with the blue arrow symbols....i may receive some photos from girls im friends with around the world, and if i cant just d/l the, i suppose i'll set those to share.

do these basic functions if able to be used as such cost anything, and how much space does this basic service include?

i know these are simplistic questions, but ive had problems with this before, and only want a simplistic, free, non automatic thing....

thanks, jgolden104, joel golden

Re: very basic question...

Hi Joel, the free Dropbox account gives you 2 GB of space, and you don’t need to have the Dropbox desktop application installed.

You could work entirely from the Dropbox site if you wish, although you won’t get advised on your computer if new files have been added, since that comes with the desktop app. You’ll need to manually check the site for any changes.

If you have any questions, please let me know!
