Deleted files - 'Restore' doesn't work

Today I noticed that two important shared folders that I had on Dropbox were deleted.  I did not delete them and did not receive any notifcation that they were going to be deleted.  I have tried to restore them using the 'Restore' buttons on the list of files however they have not been restored,  Can anyone suggest how I can get them restored? Thank you.

Hi there, are the shared folders visible on the following page? If so, you can add them back to your account.
 
If not, then either you removed your access to the shared folders, or the owner of the shared folders removed your access to them. This means that they would have been deleted from your account, and you won’t be able to recover them.
 
If this is the case, then you’ll need to request access to the folders from the owner, as there isn’t a way for you or us to restore your access to the folder.
