How to restore a file in its original version?

Hello,

I am not sure what happened but all the information that was on one on my files dissapeared! The file is not deleted, it's still in my dropbox but important information was deleted, the only information left is the one I just added, anything prior to that is gone. This is an important file and I would like to have it back in its original state. Could you please tell me how to restore it in order to obtain the former version of the file from any day before I started modifying it this morning?

Thank you in advance for your help, I only found how to recover a deleted file on the Dropbox support page but nothing about how to restore a file from a few days prior it was modified...

Re: How to restore a file in its original version?

Hey there @MarbleHill - sorry to hear about this.

This is how to preview and restore a previous version of your file(s):

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click Files to find the file you'd like to see previous versions of.
  3. Select the checkbox that appears to the left when you hover over the file.
  4. Click Version history.
  5. Select one of the versions to preview it.
  6. To restore to an older version, click the Restore button.

Let me know if you need anything else please!
