Hey there (@Freddy711), I’m here to help you find a viable resolution on this, thanks for checking in on our Forum! 
 
Now, are you also seeing that through an incognito window/ in private browsing mode Freddy? Can you try repeating once without any extensions running & see if that amends the behavior? As an additional step, would you mind clearing your browser's cache & see if this does the trick for you this time? 
 
From there, I’m wondering if you’re getting any error messages when you’re trying to download your files; please do let me know if that’s happening. Are you trying to download any files residing in your own account or through a shared link perchance? I’d appreciate it if you could include a step-by-step description, as well as a screenshot of the last screen you’re seeing when you’re facing this issue (omitting personal info), so as to better determine what's happening. 
 
Once you find a bit of time to check back on how my pointers work for you, please do let me know of the outcome & I’ll do my best to further advise on this discussion. Thanks & I’ll be awaiting your next update!

Thank you Jane for your reply and assistance. I cleared my browsing history and I can now download from Dropbox. But I still can't drag a folder from Dropbox to my desktop. I get a windows security alert.

Thanks for keeping me updated on the progress @Freddy711; it seems that we’re on the right path! Now, so as to further advise you, would you mind including a screenshot (omitting personal info) of the error message you’re getting, in order to paint a clearer picture of the issue at hand?
 
 
In any event, I’ll be awaiting your next message here, so as to clarify the best course of action moving forward!

Thank you Jane. Below is a screen shot. When I select okay, nothing happens. I am using two screens and dragging the folder from one screen to the next.

I appreciate the screenshot @Freddy711! As I can see that you’re facing this issue when you’re trying to drag & drop your folder from your Microsoft Edge browser (i.e. to your desktop), I’m wondering if you’re getting the same results from Chrome or Firefox. Can you try repeating there once & let me know of the outcome here? Thanks again for your cooperation!

I don't use Chrome or Firefix. I did try Internet Explorer and nothing happened.

I can't download any of my Dropbox files or folders (from the web or desktop application) either since Friday 2/15/19 and it's still going on with no helpful response (i.e. resolution of the issue) from Dropbox.
