Missing folders after folder renaming and syncing

A person who had editing features had Dropbox running on PC but was not syncing. It became apparent that syncing had not occured in quite a while as there were files that she had worked on that had not synced to the others that folder was shared with. Signed back in to Dropbox after renaming older unsynced folder full of newer and older files. Syncing of Dropbox started again. When finished, opened Dropbox folder only to find files and newly renamed folder gone. Where did they go? Immediately logged in to Dropbox online and clicked on Deleted files but it was empty. I looked on hard drive and there is not any of the old files. How can I recover lost and deleted folder?

Re: Missing folders after folder renaming and syncing

Hey there @EddieP - sorry to hear that!

Have you tried your Events page to see if it helps in this case? What does it show?

Also, do those folders show for both of you on your Sharing tab

If you can't find anything, have them contact us through our official channels by logging a ticket with our team (if they're the original owner of the shared folder in question I mean) so we can have a more in-depth look into this and provide as much assistance as possible.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
