IOS11 Files is pointing to sub-folder, not root.

Level 2

Hello.  I just bought an iPad Pro and linked Dropbox to Files.  However, the Files APP is pointing to a sub-folder (a team folder) which is not the root folder.  Therefore I cannot access all my files.

How do I resolve this ?

Hey there @Vusisindane  - sorry to hear about this.

Can you please see if there's any update for your iPad's OS and our mobile app's as well?

If that doesn't help, could you provide a screenshot of the problem so as to get a better understanding of the matter at hand?

Additionally, keep in mind that the Files app is an application owned and maintained by Apple.

It lets you browse files stored on your device and on Dropbox — all in one place. From there, you can open, edit, move, rename, upload, create folders, and download files. And if you have personal and work Dropbox accounts, you’ll be able to browse both in Files.

Our Dropbox iOS app and Apple’s Files app are two different applications. We created the following Help Center article that specifies the Files app requirements and functionality, and it also includes a list of some features and functionality that are not available in the Files app: https://www.dropbox.com/help/mobile/ios-files-app

If there’s something you’re trying to accomplish with the Files app and you’re not getting the results you were expecting, I'd recommend you use the Dropbox iOS app instead.

You can download and install the Dropbox iOS app from here:

Keep me posted!

Hello, I figured it out.

My account was linked to a Team.  I remember at some point we tried to create a business account —> so mine was converted to a business account.

However, things did not work out so I continued using Dropbox but with the team still connected.  So, to solve the problem, I deleted the Team and everything was fine after that.

Thanks.
