I've got one problem with using Dropbox's document provider on iOS 11 (iPad): whenever I open a file e.g. in Pages or Numbers, its name is converted to lowercase. That's pretty annonying, so I'd like to know whether there's a solution to this. IIRC, it has been like this since the introduction of the document provider.
Hey there @frevo! Thanks for posting your question on the forum & I hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to do a quick follow-up and check how troubleshooting is going for this issue.
Please note that, most commonly, you cannot have two files named, for example, "temp" and "TEMP" in the same folder. If you try it outside of the Dropbox folder in your operating system - be it Windows or Mac - you still won't be able to. I also tried to carry out the same steps as you through the Dropbox mobile application in my iOS device & rename a file from upper case to lower case, and I was unable to do so as well.
I understand though that this may be important to you, and for this reason, I’d recommend continuing this discussion via email. You can either let me know if you’d prefer to be reached out directly via email, or you could go ahead and submit your concern via https://www.dropbox.com/support .
Please do keep us updated on the matter here& let us know if you have any more questions; we’ll make sure to get back to you as soon as possible! I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!
