Overview of # selected tasks in different Paper docs for editing purposes

New member | Level 2

When entered various tasks and notes in different docs it would be ideal to be able to # those items and see a clean list of only the # items in a seperate # list. Able to edit the individual item in  that list. In this way a note in one document copies itself into another list or document.  So a sales meeting note with various notes and tasks about various subjects and projects will be copied  into that project. In this way management can be done on project level but also reviewed on sales meeting level. When a task is completed on project level it will also be completed in the sales meeting note.

At this moment you can search for # items but you cannot get an list with all info you can edit.

Hi @EddySPI, from what I understand, you’re trying to view and edit to-do notes placed in various Paper doc from one place in a numbered order, is that right?
Currently, although you can view all of your to-dos in one place on and on the Paper mobile app, you aren’t able to edit them. However, I’d be more than happy to share your thoughts on this with the dev team for future consideration.
If I’ve misunderstood what you’re trying to achieve, please don’t hesitate to get back to me with any additional info so as to have a better understanding of your question. Thanks in advance!

Yes youre almost right but when those items are tagged with for instance #sales there should become a #sales list with all the #sales items from various documents included that should be listed that you can edit that list. So a sort of querie list that is edditable an can also be sorted on original date of entered or on todo date. (then the notes will be on the bottom of the list)

The first time that you press the # symbol the same kind of option should apear as when you press the + symbol. A document then can be created bij Dropbox Paper containing a copy of all future same items with in this case.

So when we have a Salesmeeting and making sales notes in the document "Salesmeeting" and we discuss something about "projectA". It would be ideal that when there is no document "projectA" that its made. And that the entered line is copied into that document "projectA" as a 1to1 copy. If it is a todo, that is lateron finished, it should show finished in both documents.  ("Salesmeeting" and "projectA")

In this way the notes are taken once but appear in the correct document. They can be controlled in one of the documents being "Salesmeeting" or "projectA"  When finished in the document 'projectA' for example it should also show finished in "Salesmeeting"

The same for editing.

Thanks for the additional info here, @EddySPI
