Can legal adult content be uploaded to Dropbox?

Hello,

The terms of use are a bit vague, so I need some more clarification please, particularly in layman's terms.

  • If someone writes erotica (their own), and uploads to Dropbox to share to an 18+ audience, can they do so?
  • Same question applies to those who have made their own amateur or professional porn videos
  • Same question applies for amateur/professional porn audio (recording masturbation, etc.)
  • Same question applies for amateur/professional porn pictures (nudes, photoshoots, adult models, etc.)

As long as the porn is not illegal (aka includes minors, animals, those who cannot give consent, etc.), and all parties involved in the MAKING of the adult content are 18+ and consent, can they still upload and share their adult content?

Thanks for the help!

As long as it's legal content, you shouldn't have an issue.

I cant find the thread, but, it is my understanding from previous posts that as long as the content is legal in Dropbox's jurisdiction (i.e. the USA) it is fine.

However! What I would say is that Dropbox isnt really a content distribution network, so, I'm not sure what you are trying to do (personal use v business etc.) but please be aware that you are limited to 20gb/day of bandwidth for free users and 200gb/day for paying. As its possibly a topic which may interest lots of people there is no way of monitoring how many people access said links - they are free to post it around the net. If you hit your limit your account gets banned for a time. There is no way, at all, to remove this other than wait it out.
