When I delete my Dropbox account, do the files I have on it go to the Finder on my computer or are they deleted permanently.
Also, if I have a basic plan, I can't back up my files on my computer, so where do, my files go. Will all my hard work be lost?
When you delete your account any files not already on your computer harddrive would be deleted and unrecoverable. So, before deleting make sure you have downloaded EVERYTHING

Can you share with me more details on your issue, so that I can take a look? Are you being prompted to enter a one-time code perhaps and you’re having trouble with that?
