Dropbox just suspended my business account and put it in locked state with no warning

The supposed reason is that my employers billing info needs to be updated.  I contacted my sysadmin and they said they just got a similar message but it may take a couple days for the new information to be processed by Dropbox.  Why were we given no advance notice so that I could address the problem without a service interruption?  And why has Dropbox disabled my ability to send them email through their help portal?

Hi @Avery Katz, sorry to hear about that, let me see how I can help. 

 

Essentially the billing admin, aka the one who has used his email, and billing info to update the team's settings, should have received emails prior to the team getting in a locked state. Has this not been the case? 

 

Also, it's important to note, that as long as you update the billing info and re-purchase the plan, the change should happen immediately. You can see more of this here
